Why do you Love St. Brendan’s Preschool?

Child: I love SBP because I get to learn and play. We get to go to Mass and we all love our teachers. I met my bestie here; I just love St. Brendan’s Preschool!

Family: The kids are encouraged and celebrated to be unique. I feel like Bellamy has been able to start to figure out how to express herself. All her teachers from MMO to PreK have encouraged her to find her voice and have fostered an environment of comfort to do so.

How has this school benefitted your family?

Bellamy has soared in her emotional, social, and academic development thanks to the preschool program at St. Brendan’s. Bellamy is an only child and, as a result, certain social skills are not learned at home (sharing, taking turns, etc.), she has evolved in these areas, along with problem solving, all due to the environment offered.

My husband and I are so pleased with the education and Kindergarten preparedness that Bellamy has acquired because she has attended SBP. SBP is NOT a preschool that lacks the development of the children attending – It’s not just cute coloring pages you’ll get as a parent in your child’s folder. The in-room instruction our daughter has been blessed with is without a doubt above average. We are so grateful for the special teachers; our daughter can count in Spanish and identify colors. Bellamy also has a solid foundation of Jesus/God that we, as parents, are able to work with and will be able to build on in the future. My husband I both were raised Catholic and it was important to us that religion was introduced to our daughter. The reinforcement of prayers, the importance to have a spiritual understanding, and the connection Bellamy has made with the idea of church has been a beautiful evolution to watch. SBP is a well-rounded educational facility, the emotional/social/academic development a child receives as a student provides them with an unparalleled readiness for their scholastic journey and personal growth.

Why do you Love St. Brendan’s Preschool?

Child: All my kids say they love SBPS because of their teachers and people who work there along with all of the friends they’ve made. Clara loves her teachers and the play-doh.

Family: Where to I even start? The people – every single teacher, director, custodian, etc. has been so incredibly warm, friendly, kind, and loving to all 4 of our kids. We were at Chick-fil-a years ago and a teacher I’d never met was there and my daughter ran over and hugged her. The teacher knew her name and talked for several minutes with her. I was just so impressed that she knew my daughter from the hallways and remembered her by name.

How has this school benefitted your family?

Academically, my kids have all been ahead when entering Kindergarten. They were more than prepared with the curriculum and activities that SBPS provided.

Spiritually, I love that my kids interacted with the priests, learned about Jesus and the building blocks of the Catholic faith, and were able to celebrate with parties and events at school.

On a personal level I have never felt so comfortable leaving my children with other adults. Every teacher we have had has been wonderful. My son started in MMO 10 years ago a 1.5 and his MMO teacher is teaching my 4th child currently! The teachers have been so positive, caring, loving, and encouraging that I cannot put into words how much it is has meant to us. Academics aside, this school is loving and caring, and I really appreciate the smaller size of the school. It truly is a family.

I can’t recommend the school enough! Our kids were in such a good spot socially and academically for Kindergarten and we owe it this preschool.

Why do you Love St. Brendan’s Preschool?

All four of my kids started attending SBPS when they were toddlers. It’s so nerve-wracking to send toddlers off to school, but I’ve always felt comforted knowing they were safe and loved here.

When my twins (who are now SBPS students!) were infants, morning drop off was a challenge for me, wrangling my four kids under 5. SBPS teachers and staff would often keep an eye on my twins so I could bring my older boys to their classes. And I’d even get texts from the school secretary on rainy mornings, asking how she could help. It’s that caring thoughtfulness that makes me love St. Brendan’s. It’s a family atmosphere where all teachers, parents, and community are kind and help one another.

I’m always amazed at the knowledge my kids come home with. I’ll never forget the day my 4-year-old surprised me by counting to 10 in Spanish. I had no idea he knew how to do it, and he did it perfectly! When I asked how he knew that, he said, “Mrs. Magdalena taught me in Spanish class!”

Why do you Love St. Brendan’s Preschool?

Knowing about Jesus and knowing that God loves us was a very important factor when looking for a preschool program. As members of the Parish since 2007, for both of my family and children, there is a sense of community and being part of something greater. AND of course the teachers, staff, Mr. Melvin have been a part of our family for a very long time. Even in times of transition between staff everyone has been so caring and loving to us as parents and to all of my children. That is one thing we will never forget and will miss when our last child attends.

How has this school benefitted your family?

All 4 of my children have now attended the preschool through the 4-year-old class and my oldest is 15 years old!

Lifelong community and lifelong friendships. We still meet up and keep in touch with past classmates. Also, hearing my children say and understand that “Jesus is in my heart and God loves me” I know I chose the right preschool for them.

Why do you Love St. Brendan’s Preschool?

Child: They love Saint Brendan’s Preschool because they have made great friendships and learned about God.

Family: We love St. Brendan’s Preschool because of a few reasons, mainly the class size, 5 students to 1 teacher. Also, the specials of Spanish and Religion, both children enjoyed them. The staff is amazing and friendly; they do a great job with the children.

How has this school benefitted your family?

The main way it has influenced our children is it prepares them for kindergarten. We have seen drastic changes in both children during their PreK years.

Lori DeRoche has done an amazing job over the past 3 years as Director. She kept the school running smoothly through the construction of the church and the Pandemic.

We have the pleasure to be part of the St. Brendan Preschool since 2019 when we enrolled our son Nicolas at age 2. We are grateful and pleased with the teachers and staff that we also enrolled our daughter, Ardijana, in 2020 at age 2.

Why do you Love St. Brendan’s Preschool?

I love St. Brendan Preschool because they make the school a safe, happy, and loved environment for my children. I have the need to always be informed about my kids. Lori and the teachers do an excellent job about keeping me updated on my children’s day, changes in school/events, policies, etc.

How has this school benefitted your family?

St. Brendan Preschool has changed our lives in so many great ways. Our children are well socialized, have the right aged learning tools, have fun, enjoy the preschool, learn about God, are able to form independence and feel safe while doing so. My children look forward to school. They tell me about their day, about the friends, and teachers. They bring home all the wonderful crafts and projects they do at school with a proud smile. As a parent, I’m thankful to know my children are well taken care of and are loved.

I want to thank Lori and the teachers/staff for an amazing job! Thank you for making us feel a part of the preschool family and making the preschool the best place for my children to learn.
