Stewardship Council

Purpose
The Council provides a stewardship focus for the parishioners of St Brendan’s Catholic Community, encompassing time, talent and treasure.

Responsibilities
Council members support the leadership of this council through open and engaged dialogue, through gifts of time, talent and treasure in support of various projects/activities/campaigns that the council sponsors. They also work to be role models and provide leadership in the continuing development of St Brendan’s Stewardship journey.  Members should be able to engage others in achieving the goals of the Stewardship Council.

Helpful Attributes

  • Willingness to share gifts of time, talent and treasure
  • Desire to communicate the stewardship message among parishioners
  • Ability to lead/manage/support various projects that invoke stewardship (for example, leading the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal, working on the Capital Campaign, renewing the annual Offertory pledge, supporting the Ministry Carnival)

Training & Time Commitment
The council meets one time per month, for about 2 hours.  In between meetings, sub-committee work can be managed at the member’s discretion.
