Life Chain Sunday

October 7, 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Join forces with our pro-life friends in Forsyth County and with millions of people across the nation as we stand in silent witness for LIFE.  Our Life Chain will meet in front of South Forsyth High School on Peachtree Parkway at 2:00 p.m. to

receive official Life Chain signs and begin our vigil. All faiths are welcome. Feel free to bring portable chairs and water to drink. Due to the proximity to the busy road, this event may not be suitable for small children. Rain date: October 28.

40 Days for Life Fall Campaign

September 26 - November 4

From September 26 to November 4, our community will take part in 40 Days for Life … a groundbreaking international mobilization. Christians of all faiths from around Atlanta will gather together in prayer and fasting to seek the heart of God about the crisis of abortion, and to be instruments of His light, hope, love and mercy to scared or hurting moms and dads. Each day from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., there will be a peaceful prayer vigil across the street from the Planned Parenthood in Marietta and the Feminist Women's Health Center in Atlanta. To participate in a vigil, email Elizabeth Garcia at

Prayer Vigil in Lawrenceville

September 26 - November 4

In concert with the 40 Days for Life national campaign, there will be a peaceful prayer vigil outside the Lawrenceville Planned Parenthood. This is not an official 40 Days for Life site, but local pro-life supporters will be maintaining a prayerful presence each Tuesday and Saturday from now until November 4. Please email Mary Hayes at to sign up this peaceful prayer vigil.

Respect Life Ministry

Fourth Wednesday of each month, 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Be part of our parish's work to create and promote a culture of LIFE at St. Brendan's and in our community at large! No experience or minimum time commitment required - simply come to learn more about all the ways we work individually and together on Respect Life projects. We also reserve the last portion of our meetings to learn more about the Catholic church's teachings about the sanctity of life, discuss a current event topic or listen to a guest speaker. Carpools and childcare available. Our next meeting is October 24. Call Elizabeth Garcia for more information at 404-304-2432.
