Toastmasters

Purpose: Our ministry is designed to offer parishioners an opportunity to become more competent and comfortable presenting in front of an audience while nurturing leadership and organizational skills.  As part of Toastmasters International, we provide a facilitated, proven program for self-development in a friendly and collaborative environment.  Using the skills developed in Toastmasters, members tend to become more active in business, church, service and charity organizations.
Responsibilities: Volunteers are responsible for attending bi-weekly meetings held at St. Brendan’s facilities, committing to self-development through a self-paced curriculum, serving in leadership roles which promote club evolution as well as self-development, and volunteering for outreach initiatives that are part of the self-paced curriculum and club evolution efforts.
Helpful Attributes: Toastmaster members are typically self-motivated, collaborative individuals who are interested in amplifying their abilities to confidently express thoughts and ideas.
Training & Time Commitment: St. Brendan Toastmasters Club meets every Tuesday in the Spiritual Life Center (garage) at 7:00 p.m.
