American Heritage Girls (AHG) – Troop # GA0413

Purpose: To provide a Christ-centered non-profit character development program to girls ages 5-18 with a mission of building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country. The program is built on six Program Emphases that address the spiritual, mental, physical and social needs of today’s young women. Similar to other scouting organizations, the girls receive awards and merit badges for their achievements in these areas.
Responsibilities: An American Heritage Girl will be asked to adhere to the Creed; “I promise to be: Compassionate, Helpful, Honest, Loyal, Perseverant, Pure, Resourceful, Respectful, Responsible, and Reverent” and to be active participants in the Thursday bi-monthly meetings.  In addition to the regular meetings Troop #0413 will serve the parish by helping to stock the food pantry, cleaning Church grounds and facilities, raising money and supplies for humanitarian causes, planning and implementing a spiritual health trail around the grounds, and visiting the elderly.  The Troop will also inform families about many of the opportunities available for helping the parish so the girls can complete their individual service hour requirements.
Helpful Attributes:

Young women, ages 5-18, that are looking to further their relationship with Christ, serve in the community, honor and explore their country, expand friendships at church and have lots of fun would make a great fit.
