JustFaith will be offered at our parish this year. Here are some reasons why you might be interested:
• You are committed to growing in your faith and deepening your love or God and others.
• You are interested in exploring some of the most challenging teachings of Jesus.
• You want to learn how to connect your faith in God with your life lived in a complex and troubled world.
• You welcome a life-giving spiritual journey with a small community of people that both support and challenge you.
• You are open to the possibility that your life may change!
JustFaith provides a way to transform people and expand their commitment to social ministry. You will have the opportunity to study, explore and experience Christ’s call to care for the poor and vulnerable in a lively, challenging, multifaceted process in the context of a small faith community.
Over 18,000 people have participated in various JustFaith programs in over 1,000 churches across the country. JustFaith Ministries programs help individuals experience conversion, integrating their personal spirituality with social commitment.
Please come to an informational meeting on August 19, 2010 (7:15) or August 22, 2010 (10:30); both will be held in the SLC. www.justfaith.org
How do I become someone who really cares for and acts on behalf of the poor and the vulnerable? This fall, a new program called JustFaith is being offered for the first time in our parish. The program is designed to empower and transform participants so that they can become agents of God’s good news to the poor. Be ready for a challenging 30 weeks! The program runs from September 9, 2010 to May 12, 2011.
JustFaith changes people…
Those people change the world. —Matthew 5:6
