In the midst of all the busy-ness of life, many folks find it difficult to notice God’s action in their daily experiences. Yet all of us long for a deeper awareness of God’s presence and love. Spiritual direction offers the opportunity to reflect on your life, its events and your relationships with someone trained for this ministry. The director’s role is not to “direct”, but rather to encourage another to notice God’s movement. God is always communicating with us through the ordinary occurrences of daily life. The director is a companion on the journey asking reflective questions, sharing resources and assisting the directee to “find God in all things”. Typically this takes place in the context of an hour long confidential one-on-one session once a month. A person does not need to be Catholic to enjoy the gift of this ministry. The only requirement is a desire for a closer relationship with God!
