Last year the Knights of Columbus sponsored a concession booth at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater to raise money for the council. They received approximately $30,000 for their efforts which was used to support select missions and needs of St. Brendan’s.
This year the concession will be staffed by the entire parish with all proceeds going to the Capital Campaign. The volunteer effort will be open to all parishioners who wish to provide their time to support the Capital Campaign. It is a lot of fun and a great way to increase our stewardship efforts.
The 2017 concert season kicks off on Good Friday and concludes in October. We will work about 25 shows with big name acts such as Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Zac Brown Band, and Chicago.
As an added incentive, we will enter a raffle ticket on behalf of each volunteer at each show in a drawing at the end of the year at a dinner sponsored by the Knights. Whoever’s ticket is drawn will win $1,500 to be given to the ministry of his or her choice!
The immediate schedule through May 31 is as follows (report times vary):
April 14 (Friday) – Good Friday Event
May 2 (Tuesday)- “A Perfect Circle”
May 5 (Friday) – “Chris Stapleton”
May 6 (Saturday) – “Chris Stapleton”
