Construction Update March 2019
Dennis Mallon, Director of New Development & Facilities, Pulpit Statement -- March 2/3, 2019
"I am here to give you an update on our Phase 1 construction process.
In November, we delayed the construction process due to price negotiations with our General Contractor. Since then, we have had numerous meetings to re-evaluate line by line cost projections and have performed our necessary due diligence to cap our budget and be in a position to issue a Guaranteed Maximum Price contract.
Our all-in budget for Phase 1 is $9.1 Million to include all hard construction and soft costs. To date the parish has $5.8 Million available to commit to this project which includes cash on hand and uncollected pledge commitments. To cover the difference, the parish has secured a line of credit with the Archdiocese.
Phase 1 will include a complete renovation of the front facade of the church, covered drop off walkway, improved entry pavilion, expanded narthex, increased office space, Chapel of the Resurrection, new sacristy, multiple conference room spaces, elevator, new bathrooms and Faith Formation classrooms.
Estimated construction timeline will take 1 year to complete.
Construction begins immediately!"
