Emergency Assistance (Good Samaritan Ministry)

Purpose: One time help for those in need of FINANCIAL assistance.   
Responsibilities: Trained case workers answer Hot Line alls for assistance, make home visits to assess current situations and work with clients to help them with immediate emergency financial needs. 
Helpful Attributes: Empathy, strong listening skills and some knowledge of community outreach organizations.  Willingness to spend time listening to and working with those in need.
Training & Time Commitment: Case workers must be St. Vincent de Paul trained.  Hot Line is manned on a rotating weekly basis by case workers who answer calls, make visits and recommend action.
